According to court documents, on December 15, 2023, San Angelo police responded to East 37th Street regarding a disturbance. Once on scene, the officer found a woman who was yelling for the victim. The woman yelling was identified as the victim’s mother. Then, the victim came running outside an appeared frantic and hysterical, asking the officer to get away from the residence. This question and Fuentes’ actions made the victim fear for her life.
Fuentes continued to touch the victim even after she repeated told him “No”. Then, Fuentes sexually assaulted the victim, who was unable to move due to being scared that Fuentes would kill her.
Before Fuentes allegedly assaulted the victim, she sent a text message to her friend asking for help. At one point, Fuentes became upset and grabbed the victim’s phone telling her, “You’re mine”.
The text messages were reviewed, it was informing the victim’s friend that the victim was at Fuentes’ residence. Several messages were sent to this friend asking for help and that Fuentes was trying to sexually assault the victim. The friend confirmed that she received multiple text messages from the victim, and she tried to call back but never got an answer. Then, the friend called the victim’s mother who used the victim’s GPS to find where she was.
Fuentes was arrested and booked into the Tom Green County Jail for Sexual Assault on December 15, 2023, and is being held on $100,000 bond.
