WARNING Graphic Video: SUV Crushes Passengers During Donut Stunt Gone Awry

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO — Several individuals suffered injuries after a driver lost control and overturned their vehicle while performing donuts in a parking lot, resulting in a harrowing crash. The incident occurred Saturday night at a strip mall located at the intersection of South Circle and Monterey in southeast Colorado Springs.

According to reports, a circulating video on social media, obtained by 11 News but not displayed, depicted an SUV maneuvering in the lot with passengers leaning out of windows while spectators watched.

The footage revealed the driver engaging in another donut maneuver by reversing the SUV. Within seconds, while teetering on its passenger-side tires, the vehicle tipped over, subsequently rolling over and landing on the individuals hanging out of the windows.

"The vehicle rolled over and onto the individuals who were hanging out the windows," stated the police.

Witnesses at the scene immediately rushed to aid the occupants of the SUV following the crash.

Law enforcement received the 911 call just after 10:15 p.m., responding to find five individuals with severe injuries. All were swiftly transported to the hospital, and as of Monday morning, there has been no official update on their conditions.

Based on preliminary investigations, authorities believe the gathering at the strip mall was intended for donut maneuvers in the parking lot. The purported driver of the SUV, identified as Marisol Wentling, was taken into custody for reckless driving. Although Wentling did not sustain significant injuries, she remained in jail as of Sunday afternoon. Records on Monday morning indicated her release on bond.

Law enforcement has confirmed that the incident remains under active investigation.
