Odessa, TX – The Odessa Police Department reported the arrest of 46-year-old Steve Leal on charges of Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) following a crash involving a rollover of the dump truck he was operating.
On Monday afternoon, Leal was driving a dump truck loaded with rock along Loop 338. As he navigated the roadway, he approached the exit to HWY 80 at a speed deemed excessive, causing the truck to overturn.
Upon arrival at the scene, the Odessa Fire Rescue team discovered Leal in a state of intermittent consciousness. He was swiftly transported to Medical Center Hospital to receive medical attention for injuries deemed non-life-threatening.
Following his release from the hospital, Leal was promptly arrested and charged with DWI by the authorities.
