HOBBS, NM — The Hobbs Police Department captured a woman wanted for homicide in connection with the death of a 19-year-old woman on Monday night, November 27.
Local authorities in Hobbs appealed to the public for assistance in a post on their Facebook page on Monday in the search for 20-year-old Alexis Saenz. Saenz was apprehended in Las Cruces, New Mexico, on Monday evening.

The charges against Saenz stem from an alleged incident on November 19, where she is accused of causing severe injuries to 19-year-old Adeja Baca following a domestic dispute. Regrettably, Adeja Baca sustained critical injuries during the altercation and was subsequently transported to UMC Hospital in Lubbock. Tragically, she later succumbed to her injuries.
Alexis Saenz is currently held at the Hobbs Detention Center in connection with this incident. She was arrested for Homicide by Vehicle, a third-degree felony.
