7-11 Robbery Suspect at Large in the Big Country

 

HAWLEY— A 7/11 convenience store in Hawley, Texas just north of Abilene was robbed Saturday at gunpoint and the suspect is still at large.

The Jones County Sheriff’s Office posted a press release on their Facebook page that said on Saturday, November 25, 2023, at around 5:00 p.m., the Jones County Telecommunication Division received a 911 call regarding an aggravated robbery of the 7/11 at 435 East Access Road in Hawley, Texas.

One unknown suspect, who was wearing tan pants, a hoodie with green, white, and grey camouflage, and is around six foot tall or taller. The suspect entered the store and was armed with a handgun.

Should anyone come across a man matching the description, consider the individual armed and dangerous and contact 911 as soon as possible. Also, if anyone was in the area or store at the time of the robbery, please contact the Jones County Sheriff’s Office using the non-emergency number (325) 823-4604.
