4 Men Indicted in Separate Assaults on Pregnant Women

SAN ANGELO— Four men were indicted in November for assaulting pregnant women.

Christian Richardson, Aaron Sullivan, Alberto Salazar, and Garret Fowler have been indicted by a Tom Green County grand jury for Assault of a Pregnant Person.

According to court documents, on September 1, 2023, San Angelo police contacted a victim who said Richardson, 19, hit her in the face in the parking lot of an apartment complex. The victim was observed to have redness on her face. Richardson allegedly admitted to hitting the pregnant victim and knew that she was about six months pregnant at the time.

Richardson was arrested and booked into the Tom Green County Jail on September 1, 2023, and was released on September 3, 2023, on $55,000 bond.

Sullivan, 43, has been indicted on two counts of Assault of a Pregnant Person and according to the indictments, Sullivan allegedly struck the pregnant victim on December 23, 2022, and he knew the victim was pregnant at the time. Sullivan is listed as a habitual offender on the indictment.

According to court documents, on July 23, 2023, San Angelo police officers were dispatched to the 8000 block of Zinnia Avenue for a disturbance call. Once the investigator arrived he observed the pregnant victim to have two black eyes and cuts on her face. It was determined that Salazar, 34, had been assaulting the victim throughout the entire weekend and even right before law enforcement arrived.

On the offense date, July 23, 2023, the pregnant victim was trying to leave the residence when Salazar placed his hands on the victim’s neck and pushed her down a hallway. The victim said that she was five months pregnant, and Salazar knew this due to him being the father.

Salazar barricaded himself inside his residence and refused to cooperate with any of the investigation. He was eventually arrested on July 28, 2023, and released on July 29, 2023, on $65,000 bond. Salazar is listed as a habitual offender on the indictment.

According to court documents, on September 7, 2023, at around 7:45 p.m., law enforcement was called to the 9000 block of Burma Road. Upon arrival, the victim was located and said that Fowler, 30, had come home from work and was intoxicated. The victim confronted Fowler about the empty alcohol containers she found inside his vehicle.

After the victim confronted him, Fowler became agitated and allegedly grabbed the victim on both her arms and squeezed while pushing her up against a wall. Once Fowler let go, the victim called 911 while Fowler grabbed his property and left prior to law enforcement arriving. The victim had observable bruising on her arms. Fowler was located on the 14000 block of Deer Valley Loop by a DPS Trooper, and he was detained. After a short time, Tom Green County Sheriff’s Deputies arrived and took custody of Fowler.

While driving to the jail, Fowler allegedly admitted to grabbing the victim but stated it was not his intention to hurt her.

Fowler was booked into the Tom Green County Jail on September 7, 2023, and was released several days later on September 10, 2023, on $25,000 bond.
