Large Drug Bust in Rural Coleman County

 

NOVICE, TX – A large drug bust in rural Coleman County resulted in the seizure of pounds of various drugs.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, on September 20, 2023, the Coleman Police Department in coordination with special agents from the Criminal Investigation Division of the Texas Department of Public Safety, Coleman County Sheriff’s Office, and the Taylor County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at a residence in Novice, Texas. 

The search of the residence resulted in the seizure of approximately seven pounds (7lbs) of Marijuana, two hundred and eighty-five (285g) grams of THC, four hundred and twelve (412g) grams of Psilocybin Mushrooms, three thousand two hundred and forty (3240g) grams of Promethazine / Codeine syrup, bulk U.S. currency, and three (3) firearms. 

Patrick Hyun Hollis, 29 years of age from Novice was arrested and transported to the Coleman County jail where he was charged with manufacture/delivery of controlled substances, possession of marijuana, money laundering, and unlawfully carrying of a weapon.
