San Angelo Woman Indicted for Credit Card Abuse of an Elderly Person

SAN ANGELO— Rosemarie Adonica Garcia, 35, has been indicted by a Tom Green County grand jury for Credit or Debit Card Abuse of an Elderly Individual.

According to court documents, on July 20, 2023, the victim told investigators that Garcia has used his debit card. The card in question had been stolen from a residence on the 2000 block of Silver Creek Court. Garcia had used the victim’s card to make a purchase at the Wal-Mart Supercenter located at 610 West 29th Street.

Wal-Mart security footage was reviewed that showed Garcia using the victim’s credit card to make a total purchase of $107.73. Garcia had allegedly used other debit or credit cards that were issued to this same victim to make purchases at the time.

Garcia was arrested and booked into the Tom Green County Jail on July 27, 2023, and was released on July 30, 2023, on $20,000 bond. Since the victim in this case is older than 65 years of age, he is considered an elderly individual which changes the criminal charge.

Garcia was indicted on another Credit or Debit Card Abuse charge in March 2023.
