San Angelo Police Investigate Murder of 19-Year-Old

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – The San Angelo Police Department confirmed on Friday afternoon the investigation into the killing of a 19-year-old that occurred this past week.

According to the SAPD, on Aug. 7, 2023, at around 5:45 a.m., officers with the SAPD were dispatched to a home on the 600 block of E. 24th UPDATE 34th St. for the report of a shooting victim. Once on the scene, officers discovered a 19-year-old male who had been shot and killed.

SAPD’s Criminal Investigations Division, Crime Scene Division, and Drone team responded to the scene to assist. At the conclusion of the preliminary investigation, the victim was identified as Jacob Hernandez, 19, of San Angelo, and this incident is actively being investigated as a Homicide.

The SAPD is asking that anyone with information or video footage of the incident to please contact Detective Anderson at 325-659-8012 and reference Case# 2023-0009762.
