SAN ANGELO, TX — Police have surrounded a home in north San Angelo following a shooting.
According to reporters on scene, on Aug. 3, 2023 at around 6 p.m., San Angelo Police Officers were dispatched to the intersection of 19th and Brown for the report of a shooting victim.
Once on scene the officers discovered a vehicle with the back window shot out.
Officers have surrounded a residence and have asked the public to avoid the area.
Officers made a forced entry into a home in the area during the investigation. It is unclear at this point if anyone has been arrested or transported to the hospital with gunshot wounds.
This is a developing story.
UPDATE 8 P.M.
San Angelo Police Spokesperson Richard Espinoza has confirmed that two people were shot during the incident.
Police have a suspect in custody and confirm there is no active threat to the public.
Three vehicles were involved in the incident, one being the suspect's vehicle.
Both victims were taken to the hospital.
