SAN ANGELO— Two men have been indicted in Tom Green County in June after soliciting minors online for sex who were actually undercover officers.
Devon Shane Hudson, of Grand Prairie and David De La O, of San Angelo were indicted by a Tom Green County grand jury in June for Online Solicitation of a Child.
According to court documents, on February 24, 2023, and February 25, 2023, the Department of Public Safety Criminal Investigations Division conducted online solicitation investigations in Tom Green County. During the investigation, officers established undercover profiles on social media and chat platforms. One account titled “David” and another account titled “OgD” came into contact with the undercover profiles and were in contact before they were told the undercover officer were minors. Both suspects continued communications and elevated the talks to express that they intended to engage in sexual contact.
Then, both account holders acted upon this intent by traveling to prearranged locations at prearranged times for the purpose of sexual contact while under the impression that the officer was a minor. After arriving at the location, the suspects were detained and identified.
One suspect with the account titled “David” was identified as De La O while the other suspect with the account titled “OgD” was identified as Hudson.
De La O was arrested and charged with Online Solicitation of a Child and was booked into the Tom Green County Jail on February 24, 2023, and was released on June 2, 2023. De La O has been arrested before on June 7, 2022, for indecent exposure.
Hudson was arrested and charged with Online Solicitation of a Child and was booked into the Tom Green County Jail on February 26, 2023, and was released on February 28, 2023.
