Jail Trustee's Escape Plan Foiled After Construction Workers See Her Stripping

 

ABILENE, TX – A jail trustee in Taylor County was caught escaping after a group of construction workers saw her stripping out of her jail uniform.

According to Abilene news station KTAB, on July 13, 2023, Angela Trueblood, a Taylor County Inmate and a Trustee at the jail, was arrested for escaping while in custody. 

It is being reported that around 9 a.m. Trueblood was on work duty outside of the jail. During the job Trueblood attempted to escape. During her flee attempt Trueblood ran to a construction site.

The sheriff's office was alerted to her escape after a group of workers saw her stripping out of her orange jumpsuit.

Trueblood was located and taken into custody within the hour. She was found two miles away from the trustee's worksite. 

Trueblood was originally in the jail for a theft but now faces a charge of escaping custody.
