SAN ANGELO— An Abilene woman has been arrested in Tom Green County for stealing prescription pills from an Abilene pharmacy.

Jordan McClain, 26, was arrested in Tom Green County for stealing Adderall from an Abilene pharmacy.

According to court documents, a pharmacist with Drug Emporium, located at 2550 Barrow Street in Abilene reported that on January 20, 2022, video surveillance following a pharmacy inventory check showed McClain taking a pill bottle out of her pocket and concealing herself from cameras.

During the inventory, pharmacists found that they were missing 15 pills of 20 milligram Adderall or amphetamine pills and 44 alprazolam pills which are also sold under the name “Xanax’. Further review of video surveillance showed McClain taking personal pill bottles out of her pockets and filling them with the pills that ended up missing from inventory.

The video also shows that McClain was handling a customer’s prescription that was waiting to be picked up.

McClain was arrested on July 6, 2023, by the Tom Green County Sheriff’s Office for fraudulently attempting to obtain a controlled substance and was released on $5,000 bond the same day.
