Ballinger Man Avoids Prison Time for Possession of Child P0rn

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – A Ballinger man was sentenced to over half a decade of probation after police found Tom Green County Sheriff's Deputies found more than 100 images of child porn on multiple cell phones.

According to court documents, on July 5, 2023, Zach Smith Potter, 26, of Ballinger, pleaded guilty to possession of child pornography. As a result of the guilty plea, Potter will spend the next 6 years on probation that includes registering as a sex offender.

Potter was accused of having over a 100 images of nude underage girls on two different cell phones and an email. Potter confessed to having images from women ages 10-40 but upon the search deputies found images title 'Extremely Youngest Girls' which contained lewd images of children 5, 7, and 10 years old.

After his arrest, Potter only stayed in the Tom Green County Jail for two days before posting $50,000 bond. He was indicted for the crime in April 2023.
