31-year-old Kristen Lee was arrested by San Angelo Police for Racing on the Highway. She was booked into the Tom Green County Jail at 10:27 p.m. Tuesday night and released Wednesday morning at 1:13 a.m. after posting $500.00 bond.
34-year-old Barrett McIntyre was arrested by San Angelo Police for Racing on the Highway. He was booked into jail at 10:16 p.m. and released at 6:58 a.m. Wednesday after posting $500.00 bond.
In Texas since 2021, a new Street Racing law allows law enforcement to seize and potentially forfeit vehicles if the racer is a repeat offender, driving under the influence, has an open alcohol container or causes injury or death.
In 2023, Gov. Abbott signed a new law allowing vehicles to be impounded if the owner is charged with racing on a highway or reckless driving exhibition.
