Teen Arrested for Robbing Lowe's Home Improvement Store

 

LUBBOCK—A Lubbock teen has been arrested for robbing a Lowe’s Home Improvement and then  running over an officer’s foot.

According to reports, a Lubbock police officer was in the Lowe’s checkout line on March 24, 2023. An employee said three suspects were trying to steal items from the store. The officer identified himself to the suspects and attempted to stop them.

One of the suspects said “I ain’t doing nothing", and got into a vehicle which when they tried to run, ran over the officer’s foot. Investigators were able to get pictures of the suspects from the Lowe’s security system and 19-year-old Jaiven Gaither was identified.

He was arrested at a Motel 6 on June 20, 2023.

Gaither was charged with aggravated robbery and is being held at the Lubbock County Detention Center on $150,000 bond.
