ODESSA— An Odessa teenager has been arrested after spitting into a gallon of Arizona brand Tea on video and putting the bottle back on the shelf in a supermarket.
According to reports, a 15-year-old boy has been arrested after spitting into a gallon bottle of Arizona Tea and putting it back on the shelf in an Albertsons for someone else to buy and consume.
An arrest affidavit said officers were dispatched to an Albertsons on North County Road West on June 12, 2023, in Odessa, Texas. Security footage, and the TikTok video below, showed the teen pick up the gallon bottle and spit into it, then put the bottle back on the shelf.
The teen allegedly told the asset protection manger that he spit into the bottle. Then, allegedly told officers that he took a drink of the Arizona tea and put it back because it was gross. The teenager has been charged with tampering with a consumer product. He is currently being held in the Ector County Youth Center.
