ODESSA, TX – The Ector County Sheriff's Office on Thursday made a large drug bust near the University of Texas Permian Basin campus.
According to the ECSO, on May 31, 2023, a special unit within the sheriff's performed a search warrant on a house believed to have narcotics inside. Once inside, the deputies found 5 lbs of marijuana, hundreds of grams of THC concentrate, 6 guns, and thousands in cash. A male and a female were both arrested.

On May 31, 2023 Ector County Sheriff’s Office SIU division executed a search warrant at 8213 W University after a narcotic investigation. During the course of the search warrant of the residence over 400 grams of THC concentrates individually packaged, just under 5 pounds of marijuana, 6 firearms and over $2000.00 in cash were seized. Richard Sierra DOB 04-05-65 and Stacey Sierra DOB 01/24/77 were both arrested for Possession of Marijuana SJF and Possession of THC F-1 and transported to the Ector County Detention Center. Estimated street value is approximately $35,000.00
