Lubbock Man Arrested for Attempting to Take a Teen Girl From a Bounce House Park

LUBBOCK— A Lubbock man has been arrested after trying to take a teen girl from a bounce house park over the weekend.

The Lubbock County Sheriff’s Office responded to “Blazing Bouncers”, located at 11401 Hwy 87 Frontage Road over the weekend for a report of a suspicious person. The man was described as a Hispanic male around 60-years-old.

The investigation revealed that the suspect went into the establishment and walked up to a 13-year-old girl and placed his arm around the child, asking her to go outside. An employee, who is also the cousin of the girl, interfered and tried to speak to the man.

The suspect attempted to leave while the cousin kept talking to him to keep him around until law enforcement arrived. The suspect was identified as 60-year-old Raul Chavez. He was arrested and charged with unlawful restraint less than 17 years of age and was transported to the Lubbock County Detention Center.
