Police: Active Shooter on the Run from Colorado City

COLORADO CITY, TX – Citizens around the Mitchell County area were put on high alert Tuesday afternoon due to a shooting suspect who is still at-large.

According to multiple reports, on May 15, 2023, officers with the Colorado City Police Department investigated a domestic violence incident where a man shot another person.

The Colorado City Police Department described the subject as a black male who was last seen on foot traveling north on Austin Street from 2nd Street in Colorado City. The suspect was not wearing a shirt. Colorado City PD told residents there to lock all doors including car doors. The schools were on lock down today.
