Officers Shoot & Kill Bull That Killed Texas Rancher

 

FERRIS, TX – A 60-year-old rancher outside of Dallas was killed on Monday by one of his own bulls.

According to multiple reports, on Apr. 24, 2023, officers with the Ferris Police Department were dispatched to a ranch about 20 miles south of Dallas for the report of a bull attack.

Prior to arriving, law enforcement was told by the victim's father that his 60-year-old son had been killed by one of their bulls.

First responders were not able to get to the victim right away as the bull was destroying property while circling the man. Eventually authorities decided to put down bull. He was shot and killed. 

The man was pronounced dead on scene. His identity has not been revealed at this time.

Police are investigating this incident.
