SAN ANTONIO, TX – A domestic fight between boyfriend and girlfriend ended in horror as the argument ended with a bullet to the head Wednesday in San Antonio.
According to the San Antonio Police Department, on Apr. 19, 2023, SAPD officers arrested 23-year-old Israel Reyes for murder. Reyes was charged after police say she shot her boyfriend in the head, killing him.
Zachary Aaron Williamson was shot on Apr. 6, 2023 at around 2:30 a.m. According to reports, police were called to the Preserve at Westover Hills Apartments near Loop 410 for the report of a shooting.
The couple had gotten together that night for dinner. At some point in the night Reyes was messaging an old friend. She says this enraged Williamson. An argument ensued and Reyes said Williamson pushed her. The physical altercation eventually led to Reyes shooting Williamson. She claims it was self defense.
Officials say autopsy results show a different version of events. The Bexar County Medical Examiners reported that Williamson had numerous bruises, lacerations and other wounds, including 16 cuts and puncture wounds to the top of his head. Some of the bruises were dated and the puncture wounds to the head came from being pistol whipped.
Reyes and Williamson have an 8-month-old child together. She is being held at the Bexar County Jail on $175,000 bond.
