Telsa Driver Killed in a Crash in the Permian Basin

 

ODESSA, TX – A 21-year-old man driving a Tesla was killed in crash in the Permian Basin Friday.

According to the Odessa Police Department, on Friday Apr. 14, 2023, Odessa Police and Fire Rescue were dispatched to a major accident at 42nd and Tanglewood.

The investigation revealed that a white 2021 Tesla Model 3, operated by 21-year-old Zachary Rosier, was traveling east bound on 42nd. A white 2015 GMC Acadia was turning South onto Tanglewood from 42nd.

The cars crashed in the intersection before the Tesla struck the traffic signal light pole. The driver of the Acadia was treated and released at the scene.

Rosier was transported to Medical Center Hospital where he was pronounced deceased. Police say next Rosier's of kin have been notified. The investigation into the cause of the crash continues.
