San Angelo Police Report Dangerous High Speed Chase

SAN ANGELO— San Angelo Police are seeking the public's help in locating a suspect who led law enforcement on a chase through the streets of the city this morning.

According to information from the SAPD, a female suspect led San Angelo Police on a vehicle chase earlier this morning after she was called in as a reckless driver. The vehicle chase originated on the Eastside of San Angelo and was called off on San Angelo’s Westside.

The suspect was not identified as the vehicle chase was called off due to the safety of the public being at risk.

The San Angelo Police Department was dispatched to the intersection of Riverside and Bell after receiving multiple calls for service regarding a reckless driver. Officers located the suspect (driving a white Honda Accord) on Richard Street and attempted to stop the vehicle.

The female driver evaded officers in the vehicle and proceeded to travel towards the Westside of San Angelo. Communications reports indicate at one point the vehicle was driving at about 2 mph on Luna St. and the driver allegedly threw a '12 pack of beer' out of the vehicle.

Multiple agencies (Game Wardens and DPS) assisted with the chase, but the chase was called off on Sherwood Way.

The chase was called off due to the suspect’s high rate of speed, reckless driving, and lack of regard for public safety.
