SAN ANGELO— A San Angelo man was arrested Wednesday for Possession of Child Pornography after the Tom Green County Sheriff’s Office was tipped off.

According to court documents, NCMEC, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, provided a cyber tip to the Tom Green County Sheriff’s Office that showed a Google account had uploaded 86 images of suspected child pornography on August 19, 2022. The suspects date of birth and phone number was also attached to the Google account.

Grand Jury subpoenas were submitted to both Google and Yahoo which provided information that the account that uploaded the images was registered to Zack Potter. Google also provided several debit and credit card numbers that were attached to the account in Potter’s name. Verizon was served a grand jury subpoena as well which provided a Samsung Galaxy A03x TracFone cellphone was associated with the phone number on the account.

Then, Potter allegedly said that the age range of the lewd images he looked at and downloaded ranged from 10-years-old to 40-years-old and that he downloaded the child pornography off of several websites on the internet.

The images contained female children around 10 years old in various stages of undress and with private areas exposed.
