SAN ANGELO — A porch pirate in San Angelo has finally been arrested for stealing packages and mail for over a month.
Information released by the San Angelo Police Department states that between October 31, 2022, and December 4, 2022, the San Angelo Police Department Criminal Investigations Division Northside and Southside Detectives began investigating several recent package thefts.
During the holiday season, video evidence and tips provided by the public indicated these crimes were being committed by the same person.
Thanks to persistence and teamwork, Detectives were able to arrest the suspect, 36-year-old Ethan Leonard, on multiple theft charges.
Leonard was previously arrested for mail theft on December 9th.
This case is a great example of teamwork and communication from all of those involved.
Additional charges may be forthcoming pending the outcome of this ongoing investigation.

Leonard has been in trouble before for stealing mail back in 2019.

There is very little more loathsome than a thief. Take his freedom for at least 5 years and it might just clean those sticky fingers.
