Violent Painted Man Indicted for Robbing a good Samaritan with a BB Gun

SAN ANGELO- A San Angelo man has been indicted by a Tom Green County grand jury in August after he allegedly used a BB gun to rob a man who had given him a ride.

According to court documents, a San Angelo Police Officer was dispatched to Dallas Street near North Campus Street on June 1, 2022, regarding a robbery. Once on scene, the officer met with the victim who stated he was robbed after given the defendant, identified as Kris Munoz, a ride from a local motel and went into a residence located on the 2400 block of Dallas Street.

The victim told the officer that after he had given Munoz a ride, Munoz had allegedly pulled out a gun and demanded the victim’s wallet. Munoz also allegedly assaulted the victim by hitting him in the face with the gun.

Three San Angelo police officers located Munoz inside the residence on Dallas Street. The victim’s wallet was found under a bed along with a black and silver in color handgun that turned out to be a BB gun.

The victim corroborated what he told the officer to the investigator.

Munoz was booked into the Tom Green County Detention Facility on June 1, 2022 and is still currently an inmate being held on $25,000 bond.
