SAN ANGELO – A San Angelo man has been arrested for possessing lewd images of children after a cyber tip was turned over to the Tom Green County Sheriff’s Office.
According to court documents, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children turned over a cyber tip to the Tom Green County Sheriff’s Office that provided information that a Snapchat account uploaded four video files that contained suspected child pornography.
A Grand Jury Subpoena was submitted to Suddenlink provided information showing the IP address was registered to a woman that lives in the 200 block of Amistad Road in San Angelo. The cyber tip said that four videos were uploaded on December 4, 2021.
A subpoena was submitted to Snapchat that showed the account that uploaded the suspected child pornography was deleted on December 5, 2021. Snapchat also provided that the phone that uploaded the files was an iPhone XR and the defendant in this case, identified as Max Kieffer, was revealed.
Deputies located Kieffer living at the 200 block of Amistad Road, and he allegedly stated he got the child pornography videos from other Snapchat accounts.
The phrases “Dropbox mega C.P. nina de 8 ano 395 videos for only costs $20”, “Sexo rape full”, and “Info” were displayed in the videos. The children being abused in the videos are thought to be between 6-14 years of age.
Kieffer was booked into the Tom Green County Detention Facility on October 28, 2022 and has a $25,000 bond.
