Extremely Dangerous Inmate Escapes from the Mitchell County Jail

 

COLORADO CITY – A manhunt is underway for an extremely dangerous inmate who escaped Tuesday morning from the Mitchell County Jail.

According to the Colorado City Police Department, on Oct. 4, inmate of the Mitchell County Jail, Pedro Martinez, escaped from the jail. Police say that this man is "extremely dangerous." 

Citizens in the area are being asking to lock all doors and windows. Police are also asking that keys be taken out of vehicles and that drivers DO NOT pickup hitchhikers.

Martinez is being described as a 5'8 and 180 lb hispanic man with many tattoos. The tattoos include stars on his chess, letters on his right legs, tattoo on his inner middle finger, number on his right forearm, and barb wire on his left bicep. 

Martinez was last seen in his jail uniform. If you see anything call 911 or Mitchell County Sheriffs Office at 325-728-5261 or Colorado City PD at 325-728-5294.
