BALLINGER – Ballinger Police are warning residents of individuals passing counterfeit $100 bills currently.

According to the Ballinger Police Department, on Sep. 20, a number of fake dollar bills have been confiscated in town.

"Just be aware of this if you are taking money as a cashier or receiving money from anyone," stated the BPD on Facebook. "These bills were obviously fake by the feel and look, not to mention the words for movie use only. So just be aware as there may be more in circulation."

BPD did not state if any arrests have been made.
