SAN ANGELO – One person is hospitalized and being treated for gunshot wounds Tuesday evening after an altercation at a residence on Oxford St. in San Angelo.
According to reporters on the scene near Oxford and Robin Hood Trail, Police were dispatched for the report of a shooting.
San Angelo Police Lt. Craig Thomason said police secured the scene and first responders treated the gunshot victim who was then transported to the hospital by ambulance. The extent of the victim's injuries was not disclosed at the scene.

The officer said the shooting happened inside the residence. Thomason said they have a person detained in connection with the shooting.
There is no danger to the public and no shooter is at large.
The investigation is ongoing and no other details were released.
