Tom Green Co. Sheriff's Deputy Arrests Fugitive with 9 lbs of Ganja in a Work Zone

 

SAN ANGELO – A Tom Green County Sheriff's Deputy working traffic Thursday in the US-87 work zone stopped a speeding vehicle and eventually arrested the driver for Possession of 9 pounds of marijuana and other charges.  

On Thursday, August 4, 2022, Tom Green County Sheriff's Office Corporal B. Webster, while working traffic control in a work zone on US Highway 87, with workers present, conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling 81 mph in a 60 mph zone.

The driver, Camron Dairshawn Meyers, was determined to be wanted out of Ector County, Texas. Corporal Webster placed Mr. Meyers under arrest. During the subsequent investigation, Corporal Webster located and seized approximately 9 pounds of marijuana and $1400.00. Mr. Meyers is charged with Possession of Marijuana >5lbs<=50lbs, and for failing to Appear on Manufacture/Deliver Controlled Substance PG 3/4 >=400G.
