SAN ANGELO – A San Angelo man has been incited by a Tom Green County grand jury for capital murder by terror or other threat that occurred in 2021.
According to court documents, Mykah Saldivar was involved in the murder of Jacob Hernandez at the Nueva Vista Apartment complex in May 2021. Saldivar was the individual who either sold or gave Francisco Morales and David Rodriguez a gun to commit a crime.
In September 2021, Morales was arrested after being indicted for the murder of Jacob Hernandez. San Angelo police were dispatched to the Nueva Vista Apartment complex in the early morning hours on May 26, 2021, in regards to a shooting. Once on scene, a firearm was observed leading to apartment 816 and there was damage to the door frame.
A male subject, Hernandez, was seen laying on his back with a gunshot wound to his chest. Surveillance video was obtained that helped identify Morales.
Then, on January 21, 2022, Rodriguez was arrested after police had been investigating the murder. Ring doorbell footage was obtained that showed two men walking out of the Nueva Vista Apartment in masks. Morales agreed to speak with officers but did not give up his partner during the interview.
Morales picked up his partner and went to Saldivar to buy a gun.
Saldivar’s cellphone and Facebook were obtained by warrant and police identified Rodriguez in the messages.
