SAN ANGELO – A Tom Green County man was arrested by Texas Department of Public Safety Troopers Tuesday for possession of child pornography on his cellphone.
According to reports from law enforcement, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children sent a CyberTipline report to the Texas Department of Public Safety. The report was viewed by special agents who confirmed it contained child pornography.
A search warrant was executed at the Tom Green County residence of Giovanni Lee Sistos on August 2, 2022. As a result, Sisto’s cellphone was seized during the search. Authorities conducted an interview with Sistos who admitted to seeing thumbnail images of child pornography pertaining to the CyberTipline report.
Sistos further admitted to having images of two young teenage children on his cell phone. A special agent viewed multiple videos and images on Sistos’ cellphone that depicted child pornography. The videos viewed were stored on multiple platforms within Sistos’ cellphone
Sistos was arrested and booked into the Tom Green County Detention Facility on August 2, 2022, and has a bond of $30,000.
