San Angelo Man Sentenced for Bathroom Assault & Revenge Media Threats

SAN ANGELO – A San Angelo man has taken a plea deal for sexual assault after attacking two women in the Kid’s Kingdom bathroom and threatening to publish intimate photos of the attack.

Danny Juarez has taken a plea deal for charges stemming from the brutal attack on two women in the public restroom and threatening other women to post intimate images if they did not pay him.

According to court documents, on September 7, 2018, investigators spoke with one of the victims who said she was going to purchase a cake from a Facebook page listed as Joe Custom Cakes on Facebook Swap and Sell and she communicated with the person via Facebook messenger. The person she was talking with told her about belly casting for pregnant individuals and referred her to another Facebook account. The owner of the account and the victim spoke on Facebook messenger and a deal was set up.

The victim told investigators that part of the deal was that she would meet a person at the H-E-B, located at 3301 Sherwood Way. She located this individual and described him as a Hispanic male with black hair, a long black beard, and had gauges in his ears, this would later be identified as Danny Juarez.

It was also learned that Juarez created fake Facebook profiles to lure the women.

The victim picked up Juarez and took him back to her residence on West Twohig and allowed him to photograph her nude from the waist up. After the photo session, the victim took Juarez back to the same HEB and dropped him off.

Later, the owner of the Facebook account messaged the victim requesting money or they were going to release the pictures to the public. The victim provided screenshots of the messages the included pictures of the victim nude from the waist up.

The investigator worked a second case involving a similar complaint. In that case, a scheme was put into place on Facebook Swap and Sell that resulted in the same outcome for another victim, but in this instance, the victim picked up Juarez at the Crestwood Apartments, located at 3130 West Beauregard directly behind the old HEB.

Investigators spoke with management at the complex and was provided with the description the victims gave of the suspect. The manager stated that a resident in the complex had recently complained because Juarez had asked her to measure his penis.

Juarez was arrested and booked into the Tom Green County Detention Facility on October 2, 2018 and was bonded out the next day.

Then, in March 2019, investigators spoke with another victim and learned that she responded to an ad on Facebook Swap and Sell for a job measuring his private parts to make a mold of them. The victim met with the suspect, who turned out to be Juarez, at Kid’s Kingdom, located at 290 West River Drive. The victim confirmed it was Juarez by Facebook profile pictures and Tom Green County Mugshots.

The victim told Juarez she brought a friend, a witness, along to go into the bathroom stall and do the measurement. Once inside the stall, Juarez groped the women and began forcefully trying to pull down the victim’s shorts. He pushed her onto the toilet, sexually assaulted her with one hand, and was rubbing himself with his other hand

Juarez threatened to tell the victim’s family that she was a “skank” and she “begged for it” if she did not comply. Then, Juarez ejaculated and left the bathroom stall with the two women crying.

Juarez did not allow either woman to bring cell phones into the stall so they could not call for help and did not yell so they would not be assaulted further.

Juarez was arrested and booked into the Tom Green County Detention Facility for this offence on October 29, 2021.

In exchange for a guilty plea to sexual assault, Juarez was sentenced to six years in prison and for a guilty plea on two counts of sexual coercion, Juarez was sentenced to one year in jail.
