Abilene Man Robbed Walking Home Over the Weekend

 

ABILENE – An Abilene resident was robbed at gunpoint over the weekend while walking home according to information from the Abilene Police Department.

According to the victim, the incident occurred at the 700 block of East North 16th Street in Abilene around 3:30 a.m. The victim said he was walking down the street when a group of men with a gun robbed him.

An aggravated robbery investigation is underway as the police report said the man’s injuries were consistent with an assault.

No other information or what was taken from the man during the robbery has been released.

Let's just say that I would not go for a walk anywhere near that part of town in daylight, much less 3:30 am, even if I were heavily armed.
