SAPD Releases Information on Possible Dena Drive Homicide

 

SAN ANGELO- The San Angelo Police Department Wednesday afternoon released information regarding a homicide victim found in neighboring Irion County.

The San Angelo Police Department was contacted by Irion County Sheriff’s Office Wednesday morning in regards to the remains of a male subject being located near the 500 block of Penrose Road in Irion County.

SAPD’s Criminal Investigation and Crime Scene Division arrived at the scene to gather evidence and to conduct their investigation. The male subject’s remains are being transported to Lubbock, TX for an autopsy to determine the subject’s identity as well as his cause of death.

The SAPD is withholding the identity of the male subject pending positive identification from the results of the autopsy. 

This incident is currently being investigated as a homicide investigation and nothing further will be released at this time. 

Earlier today, San Angelo LIVE broke information on a body recovered just inside Irion County that could have something to do with the homicide on Dena Drive in San Angelo.
