BREAKING: Midland Christian Educators Not Indicted in Awful Hazing Assault

MIDLAND, TX – The Midland County District Attorney's Office on Thursday confirmed that no indictment will be handed down to the five Midland Christian faculty members who were arrested last Feb. in a sex crime scandal.

According to multiple reports, on May 11, a Midland County Grand Jury no-billed the indictment against Superintendent Jared Lee, Principal of the Secondary School Dana Ellis, Vice Principal of the Secondary School Matthew Counts, Athletic Director Greg McClendon, and Head Baseball Coach Barry Russell.

The group was arrested for failure to report abuse. During the original report, published on Feb. 16, it was alleged that the five knew of a hazing turned sexual assault with a baseball bat that was recorded by students and shared online.

A no-bill means that the grand jury did not feel there was enough evidence to indict the five for failing to report. Once the no-bill is handed down it is highly unlikely that the case will ever been seen in court.

As of now all of the accused are still listed as employees of the school except for Athletic Director Greg McClendon and Head Baseball Coach Barry Russell.
