SAN ANGELO, TX – Over the past two days several witnesses have taken the stand to detail the gruesome murder of Eric Torrez in the murder trial of Garry Jennings in the Tom Green County Courthouse.

On the first day, the state started with two Tom Green County law enforcement officers; Deputy Constable Robert Massie and Deputy Dwain Zavalla. Following the deputies the CSI specialist for the TGCSO, Dustin Gore, took the stand. Gore's testimony took up a majority of the day. He was called to the stand at 10:30 a.m. and was excused at 2:25 p.m. Three others that took the stand were Wendy Irish, Chanci Cmerek, and Miranda Riffle.

The final three to take the stand on Monday were more law enforcement officials; Lt. Stanley Marescia, Sgt Andrew Alwine, and Sgt. Corey Speck. The court finished that night with Speck at 6:40 p.m. Judge Goodwin called for the court to reconvene at 8:30 a.m. the next morning.

Testimony the second day started with a former captain of the Texas Rangers. He described to the jury a scale diagram of the Duckworth House where prosecutors say the murder took place. After his testimony the girlfriend of one of Jennings' co-defendants, Nikki Nash, was called to the stand. Her involvement to the crime involves David Navarro. Navarro, who pleaded guilty to the murder, told Nash the details of the crime.

Next, one of Jennings' co-defendants took the stand. Angella Wray, who accepted an immunity plea, testified against Jennings. She also did the same thing during Stephen Jennings trial. Court did not last the entire day and the jury was let out early due to a funeral Tuesday.
