San Angelo Man Arrested After Allegations of Continued Abuse

 

SAN ANGELO, TX- A San Angelo man has been arrested for sexually abusing a child for almost a year.

On Friday, Apr. 29, 2022, at 9:35 a.m., John Custer, 45, was arrested by deputies with the Tom Green County Sheriff’s Office for continuous sexual abuse of a child under the age of 14.

According to court documents, on April 28, 2022, a forensic interview was performed at the Children’s Advocacy Center of Greater West Texas where it was alleged that John Custer had been sexually abusing the child victim since for about a year.

The victim stated that since last year, Custer had penetrated her sexual organ with his sexual organ on three different occasions. It was also learned that between these assaults, Custer had also assaulted the child victim with his mouth, hand, and an adult toy.

The victim also stated that Custer told her, “Don’t tell anybody what we did.”

John Custer’s bond was set at $500,000.00. As of Sunday afternoon he is still in the jail.
