Dangerous Fugitive Wanted by the Feds Arrested in Odessa

 

ODESSA – An Odessa man wanted for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon was arrested in Odessa Tuesday evening.

According to reports, wanted fugitive Joaquin Alvarado was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Service Lone Star Fugitive Task Force which includes the Odessa Police Department, and the Ector County and Midland County Sheriff’s offices.  A warrant for Alvarado’s arrest was issued after an incident in August 2021.

Alvarado was seen leaving an Odessa hotel and was arrested at East 52nd Street and Twin Towers Boulevard. He is also a person of interest in a recent shooting in Ector County.

A small crash between law enforcement and a civilian vehicle occurred while the arrest was being made but no injuries were reported.
