Tom Green County Constable Warns of US Marshal Phone Scam

SAN ANGELO – A Tom Green County Constable is reporting today that area residents are receiving phone calls soliciting money by posing as the U.S. Marshal's office.

Tom Green County Pct. 4 Constable Randy Harris posted the following message on social media and then shared it via email:

"I was notified that a person received a call from a US Marshal regarding a personal matter.  The name of the US Marshal being used is from a person that retired years ago.  A number is given 325 718-2251 that goes to a robotic voice and lists the local office of the US Marshal which is unoccupied at this time. There are options to talk to different persons which are not real US Marshals.

If anyone receives a call, do not give out any information or return calls to the number.  Also, do not give any money to this organization."
