Career Criminal in Jail for Burglary Indicted for Lewd Acts with a Child

 

SAN ANGELO – A San Angelo man accused of breaking into an apartment has now been indicted for child abuse. 

According to court documents, Feb. 2, 2022, Dominque Jamal Odoms, 25, of San Angelo, was indicted by a Tom Green County grand jury for aggravated sexual assault of a child.

The indictment noted that on Nov. 27, 2020, Odoms is accused of having sex with a child younger that the age of 14.

Odoms is also facing an indictment for burglary of a building as well. In this charge he is accused of stealing a playstation four from an apartment in Jan. 2022.

Aggravated sexual assault of a child is a first degree felony punishable by five to 99 years. 

Odoms was arrested and booked into the Tom Green County Detention Facility on Jan. 1 and remains there with a $50,000 bond. Odoms has a history in the jail. Since Sep. 2016, he has been arrested 16 times in Tom Green County.

Note the 51st District Grand Jury indictments for Feb. were not released to the public until Apr. 12, 2022.
