San Angelo Police Arrest Teen Suspects in String of Vehicle Burglaries on the Northside

 

San Angelo, TX- The San Angelo Police Department has issued a press release relating to a string of robberies in the Lake View area.

Earlier, San Angelo Police confirmed at least 5 robberies had taken place on 33rd Street in San Angelo. Now, SAPD has released at statement regarding the burglaries.

The press release states:

On 4/8/22 around 5:56am, Officers with the San Angelo Police Department were dispatched to the unit block of W. 33rd street in reference to a Burglary of a Motor Vehicle call.

It was learned that the subjects made entry into multiple unsecured vehicles on this street and took property from inside of them.

Officers converged on the area and located three subjects matching the physical descriptions given by the complainant of the call. The subjects were identified as Isaac Duarte (19yoa,) Alejandro Silva (17yoa,) and Adam Chappa (19yoa.)

The subjects were found to be in possession of stolen property from approximately “10” vehicle burglaries that had occurred in that area.

SAPD’s Criminal Investigation Division and Crime Scene Division were requested on scene to assist with the investigation.

Duarte was ultimately charged with Burglary of a Motor Vehicle and Possession of Marijuana <2oz, Chappa was charged with multiple counts of Burglary of a Motor vehicle, and Silva was charged with multiple counts of Burglary of a Motor vehicle as well.

SAPD encourages the public to always secure your vehicles and to report suspicious activity at any time of day/night.
