Well Known Brownfield Businessman Pleads Guilty to Dealing in Lewd Images of Children

LUBBOCK, TX – A Brownfield businessman has pleaded guilty to one count of receipt and distribution of child pornography in federal court.

Brian Brisendine, 43, pled guilty on Monday in federal court in Lubbock to receiving and distributing pornographic material involving children.

According to federal documents, Brisendine said to special agents that he had been trading and storing images and videos of the lewd material for about 8 years since 2014. Brisendine used “Dropbox” to store the materials and traded with “various unknown individuals” in 2014. The images were said to involve a 4-month-old child. He also admitted he viewed between 5,000 and 10,000 images and videos of child pornography.

The “Dropbox” account was linked to Brisendine’s computer that was taken by the DPS and FBI on January 19, 2022, when a search warrant is issued. Brisendine was also arrested at this time.

Brisendine is the former editor at the Brownfield News and a former Executive Director at the Brownfield Industiral Development Corporation.

Brian Brisendine was booked into the Terry County Jail in January, and he has been released on $100,000 bond. He faces 5 to 20 years in prison, 5 years to life on supervised released, and must register as a sex offender.
