Abilene Teen Dead & Another in Critical Condition After Early Morning Gun Fight

 

ABILENE, TX – A 19-year-old Abilene man died at the hospital of injuries sustained when he and a juvenile male were shot outside a home located in the 400 block of South La Salle Dr. in Abilene.  Police were called out to the home at 12:46 a.m. on Tuesday, March 29, 2022, for an injured subject call.

According to APD, Homeowners reported hearing several gunshots. When officers arrived, they discovered two men who were both shot outside the home. A 19-year-old succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.

A second victim, a 16-year-old juvenile was also transported to the hospital with multiple gunshot wounds. He is listed in critical condition. The suspect or suspects fled the scene after the shooting.

Detectives with the Major Investigations Bureau are working to identify a possible suspect or suspects.
