Third San Angelo Suspect Arrested in Lubbock Double Capital Murder

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – The Lubbock Police Department has confirmed the arrest of the third suspect in the double capital murder that involved three San Angelo residents in Jul. 2020.

The following is a release by the Lubbock Police Department:

Two additional arrests were made yesterday in a 2020 double homicide following continued investigation by the Metropolitan Special Crimes Unit.

In coordination with the San Angelo Police Department, 22-year-old Bobby Gasca was arrested for capital murder at around 4 p.m. March 24 in the 1500 block of Walnut Street in San Angelo, and 29-year-old Camri Huitt was arrested for failure to report a felony at around 6:30 p.m. March 24 in the 400 block of Westland Avenue also in San Angelo.

Gasca and Huitt were transported to the Tom Green County Jail. Gasca is being held on $500,000 bond, and Huitt is being held on $50,000 bond.

Shortly before midnight on July 1, 2020, the Lubbock Police Department responded to a shots fired call in the 300 block of Beech Avenue.

Upon arrival, officers located two male victims, 31-year-old Michael Carson and 64-year-old Gregory Tubbs. Both victims were pronounced deceased on scene.

On July 8, 2020, at around 9 p.m., 25-year-old Edward Wilson was taken into custody without incident in San Angelo, Texas, for the murder of Carson and Tubbs.

Officers and investigators from the San Angelo Police Department assisted Metro investigators in Wilson’s arrest at the Windmill Apartments located at 1929 Raney Street, San Angelo, Texas.

Wilson was transported to Tom Green County Jail and booked on a murder warrant. He is currently booked into the Lubbock County Detention Center where he remains held on $500,000 bond.

Since this release, Huitt has posted her $50,000 surety bond at 12:13 a.m. on Friday morning.
