DEL RIO, Texas – U.S. Border Patrol agents assigned to Del Rio Sector encountered four large groups of illegal aliens after they entered the United States, March 18 - 21.
On March 18, at approximately 4:50 p.m., Eagle Pass Station agents encountered a group of 110 illegals. The migrants included 56 individuals from Colombia, 29 from Venezuela, 13 from Cuba, 11 from Peru and one from Mexico.
On March 20, Eagle Pass Station agents encountered a group of 115 illegal aliens. The group included three individuals from Peru, one from Chile, nine from Nicaragua, 26 from Venezuela, 56 from Cuba, and 20 from Colombia.
On March 21, at approximately 6:50 a.m., Del Rio Station agents encountered a group of 105 illegal migrants. The migrants included 24 subjects from Angola, one from Brazil, 12 from Congo, two from Costa Rica, one from Cote d’Ivoire, eight from Cuba, three from Ghana, 13 from Nicaragua, five from Senegal, five from Sierra Leon, eight from Togo, and 23 from Venezuela.
Eagle Pass South Station agents encountered a group of 155 migrants, near Eagle Pass, on March 21. The migrants included one individual from Honduras, four from Colombia, five from Nicaragua, and 145 from Cuba.
During the current fiscal year, beginning Oct. 1, 2021, through Feb. 28, 2022, Del Rio Sector agents encountered 153,271 migrants.
All subjects are processed in accordance with U.S. Customs and Border Protection policies.
