6 Illegal Aliens Arrested After Police Chase in Odessa

 

ODESSA, TX – An early morning chase Monday on I-20 in Ector County resulted in the arrest of six illegal aliens.

Just before 5:00 a.m., DPS troopers were called to assist sheriff deputies from Ward County in pursuing a Chevy Tahoe that was traveling eastbound on I-20 near Ector County. Ector County Sheriff’s deputies joined in as the pursuit came close to Odessa.

Tire deflation spikes strips were deployed which stopped the Tahoe at North Tripp Avenue and Redondo Street. The subjects inside the Tahoe tried to escape on foot but were arrested by the Ector County Sheriff’s deputies.

In all, six illegal immigrants and the driver were apprehended.

While in pursuit, another DPS patrol vehicle was involved in a crash with a pickup truck at I-20 business and JBS Parkway. No injuries were reported from this crash and an investigation is underway.
