Sheriff's Office Seeking Answers After Man Fatally Shot at Strip Club

 

LUBBOCK, TX – The Lubbock County Sheriff's Office is seeking answers after a 28-year-old man was shot and killed at a strip club early Wednesday morning.

According to the Lubbock County Sheriff's Office, on Mar. 9 at around 1:50 a.m., deputies with the LCSO and the Lubbock Police Department's Metropolitan Special Crimes Unit responded to a shots fired call at at 609 CR 7150, the Angelwitch Caberet.

Upon arrival, deputies located a man, later identified as 28-year-old Joseph Burks, inside the establishment.

The victim was transported to UMC where he was pronounced deceased. The suspect fled the scene and has not been located.
